Comment: Representing the only gold coin type attributed to Datia State, this issue is typically characterised by a weak strike. The present specimen is comparatively well struck for the type, with better definition of the principal devices. Its recorded weight of 5.66 g is also notably higher than the approximately 4.5 g reported for other examples, adding further interest to this rare medallic issue.
